We are open seven days a week at the NCHA to support you throughout the Covid-19 crisis. If you need us, contact us as usual at [email protected].
In this member update:
AIHHP, BAA, BSA and BSHAA have produced guidance for audiology services during the pandemic as part of a Hearing Loss and Deafness Alliance initiative to coordinate sector guidance. Read the full guidance.
This guidance is for audiologists. ENT, GP and nurse practitioner members are encouraged to read this guidance but should also continue to follow guidance issued by their respective professional bodies and all other official Covid-19 guidance.
As set out in the 6 April update, members are asked to keep up to date with the official infection prevention and control (IPC) guidance as this is being updated regularly. Please also ensure those leading on infection control in your clinics are aware of Table 4, not just Table 2, and when to upgrade PPE as advised in the official guidance. NCHA members can access more information in the our 5 April PPE update. Please contact us directly if you have any questions by emailing [email protected].
If non-NCHA members are unsure about anything in the guidance they should contact their respective membership body. Questions about medical malpractice or other insurance during the crisis, should be addressed to the relevant insurer.
Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme update
Please note, the HMRC announced yesterday that the scheme is now expected to go live on 20 April based on an online system for processing claims. The HMRC is confident the system will cope with demand. We will update members as soon as further guidance is published.
